Appomattox Medical Center puts patients first with convenient office hours for quality care when you need it. We offer appointment and non-appointment walk-in care for prompt medical assistance for unexpected illness or injury.
Co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles are collected at check in on day that services are being provided.

Meet Our Physician & Highly Trained Staff at Appomattox Medical Center
Our Medical Director is a native of Appomattox. He graduated from Appomattox County High School, Hampden-Sydney College magna cum laude, where he was named to Phi Beta Kappa. Following graduation from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, he completed internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Virginia Hospital. Dr. Smith is also a graduate of Washington and Lee University School of Law. He is a licensed attorney and an active member of the State Bar of Texas and the Dallas Bar Association. Dr. Smith is Medical Director of a 60-bed Skilled Nursing Home in this area. Dr. Smith is the Medical Examiner for Appomattox County. He has special interests in Sports Medicine, Preventive Medicine, and Geriatric Medicine.
